The European Policy Institute based in Skopje, Macedonia, under the guidance of the CDD, implemented the first Deliberative Poll in Macedonia. This national event gathered a random sample of the entire country for one weekend in November 2017.
The government commissioned a deliberation for the Shin Kori 5 and 6 reactors.
Over the weekend of June 3-4, 2017 480 residents from the two TA’s met to discuss thirty-two policy options on the topics of: relocation and resettlement, reducing vulnerabilities in the existing communities, and issues of population pressure, gender and access to social services.
Over the weekend of April 29-30, 2017 citizens of Mongolia gathered in Ulaanbaatar at the Government Palace to deliberate on six possible constitutional amendments. This Deliberative Poll is the first following a law recently passed in Mongolia requiring the use of Deliberative Polling®.

For the first time, over 200 California public high school seniors from the Bay Area participated in a Deliberative Poll on the issues of voting rights and the value of being informed about politics and public policy. In response to the 2014 No.1 Research Program of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, a Deliberative Poll was held at Puxing Sub-district in Pudong New District, Shanghai on May 31st, 2015. Advised by the Center for Comparative Urban Governance (CCUG) at Fudan University, the Deliberative Poll invited ordinary citizens to participate in selecting projects that receive “Neighborhood Committee Self-governance Fund”.
Deliberative Polling® (DP) was held in the Tamale Metropolitan Area of Ghana on January 10-11, 2015. The Tamale Poll is the first of its kind in West Africa and the second in Africa after Uganda’s Mt. Elgon region DP held in July 2014. The DP discussions revolved around challenges related to rapid urbanization. The ResilientAfrica Network is conducting the first Deliberative Polls in Africa.
