London: Power 2010: Countdown to a New Politics

The Power 2010 Deliberative Poll took place January 9th - 10th in central London. A scientific sample of the UK provided by YouGov were brought together to discuss the proposals for democratic reform submitted by members of the public, producing a shortlist to be put to the public vote.

Results

Weekend voting, ‘none of the above’ on ballot papers and the public setting MPs’ wages are some of the top 29 ideas to mend Britain’s broken politics – as people prioritise practical reforms that strengthen parliament and give people a real voice in key issues – over longer-term fundamental change.
